Bought this to house my 2 year old son's small collection of plastic dinosaurs. They came in a tube and it's almost impossible to return them in the same form they were originally packaged in. It does the job I wanted and my son loves the playmat scene. It's big enough for my little one, but I agree with other reviewers that you might need a larger size for an older child. I also agree that velcro to hold the lid in place would be a huge help. My complaint is that it doesn't lay flat when open. It's difficult for small dinosaurs and their plastic trees to stand upright, which gets in the way a bit. Maybe it relaxes after we've had it for a while? Either way it's a cute item at a bargain price and any storage that kids are interested in helps with organization so I'm happy with that for now.
