After you take the file and cut the rear mounting holes you are ready to install it. The problem with the part is the too narrow size of the curved flanges that attach to the stern. By cutting these holes, you provide enough "slope" to align and install the fastener. After installation, remember that it is easy to bend. So be careful not to hit the bike against a wall, etc., as this may bend or damage the part. I like the way it looks, cleans the bike and I recommend it.
