We are in our late 50's' and 60's in age and recently got back into backpacking. For years we have been camping out of our truck in drive up sites and a hatchet has worked fine, but that is too heavy of an option for backpacking. I purchased this product and it is a great lightweight option that is very portable and functional for tent camping on the trail in our area.
- Good little hammer, but too light weight for real dry hard dirt
- May dent or scratch easily
