I have a 12lb Maltipoo. I wanted a bag that combines fashion and functionality. Above all, I needed a handbag that would allow me to discreetly take it with me to special occasions/events. For this purpose it is perfect. I will note that she is quite comfortable sitting in the area and I can't imagine her staying in it for a long period of time (say >1 hour) as I think she would feel too down. However, to have the fashionable ability to carry it discreetly for special occasions, it is ideal. As others have said the quality of the leather is excellent! I agree with another reviewer that choosing a model with a shoulder strap is probably not necessary as it would be too uncomfortable and cumbersome to use a strap to carry my pup. I liked the look of the A models but kept thinking that maybe I should try the shoulder strap model, but now I see that the shoulder strap would be very uncomfortable, especially if your dog is around 10 pounds or more. It's too bulky for a shoulder strap and I'm glad I chose the Model A without a strap.
