Cheap powder paint spoils a useful tool.

This is a useful little tool that lets you dial in tons of different depths with a fairly small tool. However! There seems to be a tendency to put an immensely thick layer of powder on them to make them look beautiful. The result is a tuning tool that is not accurate enough for many purposes. A thick coat of powder paint on an ugly piece of metal doesn't make a good tool, it makes it cheap.
