I had to open the key fob to change the dead battery. In the process, I lost the little spring that holds the key in the fob. Without a spring, the key falls out by itself. This case was the perfect solution. It keeps the fob and key in place. Without this cover I would have to pull the key in place with tape or something. Finally, it was a lot cheaper than paying $250 for a new keychain from the dealer.
