Due to my mom's health problems, she often needed help getting out of her chair or out of the toilet (or when she wanted me to get her a drink bring, snack or similar) ). If it were on a different floor of the house (especially in the bathroom), I might not always hear it when I have the radio/fan/heater/TV on in the other room. This device worked flawlessly in our high-rise building. I placed the "noisy" part in the kitchen next to the rooms where I usually work. Tied a knob to her shower door handle so we didn't have to worry about forgetting her when she was in that bathroom (larger than the one in her bedroom to accommodate a shower chair). She wore the second button around her neck during the day so that it was always within reach. At night I gave it to her stuffed moose (through a string around her wrist) so she would always know where it was when she needed me in bed. This system made it much easier for her to always have something on hand to call me when she needed me (and she loved playing with it when she first got it).
