Review on πŸš— All-Fit Automotive Red Universal Bumper Lip Splitter Kit - Enhancing Style & Shielding Lower Bumper by Jason Franco

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A must for old cars!

Installation went well, I had a heat gun to help with the installation. I used all the screws and washers that came with it because I needed a secure fit and extra insurance as I live in the desert and the floor can radiate a lot of heat in the summer. I kept the gap as even as possible but got heavier on the corners and where I found myself sinking in a dip in the road near the parking lot. My car is .YMMV but my front end is more planted at highway speeds. I don't think it creates a lot of downforce, but simply placing the front end in line with or below the rest of the car helps vent high-pressure air that can create lift and at least feel more neutral. Windy days shook my car and it didn't help, I have a roof rack but now I can barely feel it! This kit can definitely benefit old cars. Look at the front of many new cars. It can be seen that there is some sort of lip kit under the front bumper when it has a high nose, albeit set back a bit to reduce lift. I got this kit because of the looks and the durability tests I saw compared to the competition. There aren't many custom lips available for my '98 Subaru, but I was very surprised at how they felt after fitting them. I chose my car decently as I drive at least 100 miles a day for deliveries and have upgraded most of my old suspension components including new stock or polyurethane bushings, spacers etc. I will include before and after photos. I think the shape of my front end and the height of my nose made the change in feel so obvious.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
