I am a professional artist with over 25 years of experience. These are excellent quality pastel pencils. They flow like butter but have a firm consistency. (They feel like hard pastels but flow like butter. Great for detail work.) I use them on Canson Mi Tientes along with soft pastels. These pens offer rich colors where I need detailed work (where soft patients just can't work). I would recommend these pens to anyone interested in pastels.
