Good condition. They seemed to be of good quality. The label says they need to be washed first. Well, if you want to change your washing machine, wash it first. I beg to differ. The initial cotton fluff is definitely taking its toll on your washing machine's filters/water pumps. So I put them in the dryer first, 2x Air Fluff for only 1 hour each. Both times the lint filter was filled to capacity, nice packaging too. I chose to wash them after the third run in the dryer for 1 hour when there was half as much fluff in the trap. I washed them with warm water and no bleach (really? For white cotton towels?) then tumble dried on the lowest setting. Again, the lint filter is filled to the maximum in the middle of the cycle. I'm wondering if any of these towels will be left over after a few weeks/months, or are they really, really "biodegradable" :-) and they will "disintegrate" with every use and wash. What a "breakthrough in towel technology! Waiting to see how they do over the next few weeks (absorbency is halfway decent) and decide whether or not to send them back.
