I have a short beard that tends to get rough. I've tried many products to soften it but to no avail. Many are too fat. Kind of a flat smell. Others are too powerful. This product is finally what I was looking for. It softens the beard but doesn't make me feel like a greasy pit. It actually gives you a sense of "clean". It has a nice masculine smell (like an old-school barbershop) but doesn't feel like cologne has been applied to the beard. In fact, the smell gradually disappears after about half an hour. After all, it is a comparatively fair price. 5 Stars. However, most short beards are coarse and I don't know of any product that magically makes them soft like cotton. So don't expect a miracle. However, expect a pleasant smell, a sense of cleanliness, and a fairly gentle touch to your beard.
