Review on Vintage Railroad Locomotive Pocket Numerals by Chris Chincuanco

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A little ornate, but very pretty.

This is a great value battery powered watch. So far it has proven to be accurate and durable. I prefer pocket watches to wristwatches, and this is a good example of the former: small enough to fit securely in the palm of your hand, but legible enough to be easy to read. The bar that the chain attaches to is quite strong, as is the chain itself, and both can be roughly pulled out of your pocket without damage. The dial is oriented so that the case's hinge is at a 'six' rather than a 'nine', so opening and reading it will require a bit of adjustment if you're used to a more traditional layout. but the hinge and latch seem strong enough. The train design on the cover is eye-catching, but could have been better if it wasn't surrounded by such an intricate "vine leaf" border. Which is purely a matter of taste. The clock comes with a spare battery which is good as the factory installed battery only lasted a month. And the instructions for opening the watch and changing the battery were unclear, although a little internet searching cleared up any confusion. But those are the only problems I had with him.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Sad packaging
