We have two large dogs, a wood fireplace, we live in the woods and I have terrible allergies. One day I noticed the sun was shining into our living room and all I saw was dust and dog hair flying in the air. It was terrible! I've been thinking about an air purifier for about a year and decided it's time to finally get one. I read the reviews and found one that was big enough for our space. It arrived quickly and was almost ready to connect. It was a few small steps to get it ready for work. We are super happy. My worktops are dust-free for days after cleaning and the device is very quiet. We leave it at the automatic setting. During the holidays, when we had a lot of people and cooked a lot, I noticed that the device runs on medium to high but is still quite quiet.
