I bought this for my 18 month old daughter when she had short sleeves and needed extra protection for her arms when sleeping in the summer. It's like a thicker cotton t-shirt material with some viscosity. There are buttons at the bottom that make it an open sleeping bag. However, if your child grows too long, their legs may stick out between the bars. Good product and I would buy it again.
