Bought a new car. The original windscreen washer fluid already formed a film on the windscreen and worked perfectly. When it finally ran out, I bought a replacement Rain-x. Bad idea. Rain-x didn't mix well with the existing hydrophobic film left over from the original washer fluid, leaving horrible streaks. At first I thought it was the windshield wipers, so I replaced them. Still didn't work and produced horrible streaks. I bought this product because it seems to work for a lot of people. You didn't lie. I did it exactly according to the instructions and really washed everything off the windshield. I was able to put Rain-x back on and the streaks disappeared
