I've had three Skullcandy Ink'd's over the last few years (original first, now plus - only replace after loss), this is the first update since the design update ("plus"). The sound and battery appear to be the same as the previous version, although I'm sure there may be some minor upgrades that I'm not aware of. The physical design has changed the most. The volume/power buttons used to be plastic, now they're rubber. As others have noted, the rubber is very easy to disassemble - to the point where my power switch gets twisted and I have to gently lift the rubber to align the plastic clip to turn it on or off.
