The reviews were a mixed bag of "buy a size up" and "fits my expected size perfectly", but leaned more toward sizing up. So, I took a chance and went a size up. It's a little looser than I'd have bought in a store, but not saggy. And with the COVID-20 I've gained, it hides some of the extra fluff. They WILL NOT fit once it get rid of the extra stuffing, but inexpensive enough to buy a smaller set later in the summer.All in all, they are great. Super comfy, soft and just enough stretch if they do fit you tighter. The only thing I'd wish for is the tie to go all the way around as the elastic on the back is loose, and I don't see these staying up in the pool. I bought for kayaking, so don't foresee this as a constant problem for me. You want to stay IN your kayak. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase and the sizing isn't so far off to be problematic.
