My 17 year old hot tub, purchased five years ago with my used home, was primarily a dust collector (probably all my life) for a number of reasons I won't do . reveal. don't come here I've tried cleaning and "disinfecting" it several times with various home remedies, mainly from internet cleaning groups, at various times, such as bleach and hot water. hot vinegar and dawn; citric acid etc. Yesterday I got my first bottle of Oh Yuk! Jacuzzi cleaner and immediately got to work, filling the tub with the hottest water and adding 4 ounces. Oh Yuk and left the jets on for 1 1/2 hours hoping to really deep clean every part of the jet system. As I went in to empty the tub, I was pleased to find that Oh Yuk! actually found some more sneaky stuff to remove! Around the outer edges of the white, frothy bubbles that puffed up in the tub was 1/2 to 3/4 inch of off-white substance, slightly different from the usual. There was also a thin layer of almost sticky sandy deposits on the bathroom floor that also needed a bit of wiping. !Jacuzzi Cleaner!I will buy it again and try more branded cleaners.Maybe I'll even find a way to use my finally cleaned whirlpool tub and not just the dust box!
