I purchased these to go along with a pair of Polywood Seashell Adirondacks I have had for several years. Unfortunately the Polywoods are now over $400/chair with an 8-12 week wait time. I needed something sooner so I opted for these as they appeared closest to what I have.While I had expected some difference in terms of style and color it’s really the fit, finish, and quality where I noticed the biggest difference.The Serwalls require additional assembly as it came shipped in 8 pieces - seat bottom, seat back, two front legs, two arms, and 2 cross bars. By comparison the Polywoods shipped in only 4 pieces. And their construction and design do not require crossbars.While the Serwall appears to be shipped with stainless steel hardware there are far more pieces with some very difficult to distinguish from each other. For example there are 60mm and 65mm bolts that must be separated- a 5mm length difference can be difficult to see in bolts of that length with no other distinguishing features. The Polywoods also use pre-installed nuts to make for a far cleaner finish.One of the built-in threaded crossbars appears to have the fitting embedded too deeply to allow the bolt to catch.Pieces arrived with a few minor dings and scrapes.I have not been able to test the weather sturdiness of these. My Polywoods have lasted 5 years outside in Lake Tahoe where we regularly get 15-20’ of snow fall in the winter and 90-100 degree days in the summer. We shall see!
