No More Baking in my Sunroom

I got the brown silver. It's a bit darker than I'd have liked from the inside, but as shown by the picture with my dog it did manage to lighten up more after a few days. Still really dark for what I had wanted. It might just be me, but the process of cutting this stuff was horrendous. I got it more for the heat repelling than the aesthetic, but it was so hard to measure and cut that it looks absolutely horrible by the time I got it on my windows.Actually attaching it wasn't hard at all. Spray window with ALOT of windex, peel the clear layer, slap the silver side on the glass. I skipped putting the clear thing back on the brown side because I found it didn't make a difference in the scratches really anyway. It doesn't come with a squeegee, but I used a credit card. Press firmly from center towards the edges the whole way around until all air bubbles and extra windex is gone. Easy peasy. The heat reduction works. My sunroom EASILY surpasses 100 degrees in a 70° sunny day. Now with the window tint it hasn't felt warm at all. My dog can sunbathe in the window for over an hour and his fur doesn't get hot to the touch at all now. I feel safe knowing my dog won't overheat while I'm at work and he's in the sunroom. The mirror effect isn't perfect. You can still see through it a little, so I wouldn't walk around naked inside if I were you. It makes a significant difference though in feeling like the apartment tenants next door are just staring at me when I'm in my sunroom or being nosey about my dog when I'm at work. You have to be right up against the glass to see Larry when he's sitting in the window, so it does a good enough job as long as creepers aren't trespassing in my yard.
