Bought this model to replace a 2006 Toyota Tacoma OEM trailer socket. A standard Toyota part will cost you over a hundred dollars! It's great that you can use a 7-pin round socket or a flat 4/5-wire socket under the round plug, which means that there is no need for an adapter when using different trailers. Pretty easy to install with basic wiring knowledge. You must install plugs on the factory ends of the cords to connect to a spare outlet. I did a lot of research and the Hopkins 48470 turned out to be the best solution for my 2006 Tacoma. After a few weeks of use, everything works like a factory model.
