Review on CamelBak Womens Ultra Gibraltar Silver by Will Schimmel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lightweight, front loading

I personally like the rear facing tank with front storage pockets. The front of the water is best balanced by the added weight of the back. If the vest isn't balanced, it tends to work forward or backward, which isn't good for your posture and running time. Bubble bags are better than bottles that can spill. 34 ounces of water weighs 2.13 pounds. I like to drink cool water on hot days. I also like the feeling of being cool on the back more than the side. Your body heat warms the water. One of the advantages of being in the front position is that the movement of the wind seems to make the water cooler at that point. I find top access front pockets to keep things safe inside. Their smaller size also prevents items from bouncing around in pockets. The downside is that it's harder to slip things in and out of pockets. It takes a little finesse. Tightening your vest to keep things from bouncing, which you probably will, also makes using the pockets a little more difficult. If you don't like things on the back, you're probably looking at this vest and thinking what the trick is. I would say maybe it can. There is a feeling"quality". It ventilates and keeps you on the cooler side. I think he has a very good figure and shape. I wish there were more colors. Personally I would love it if they made a neutral colored vest where you also had front pockets with zips and such in a choice of colors that you could make in that color for the event. Either way, this is a functional hydration vest that will do the job you need it to do and hopefully it will fit you.
