This camera is amazing. Lots of professional features in a mid-range camera. 7x optical zoom (compared to the typical 3 or 5 on most cameras), two types of image stabilization and the ability to preview 4 different exposure settings for the same shot on screen and select the one you want before shooting. There is in-camera editing, including cropping, retouching, and other features. There are more preset exposure settings than most people typically use. Create 3-panel panoramas in camera, "frame" and add text or create a calendar from each photo. And you can add 4 seconds of audio to each recording. Despite all these features. Automobile. and your mom whose VCR is STILL flashing at 12:00 can use it and take great pictures. The huge LCD screen makes it easy to see previews even in less-than-stellar situations. I love this camera. After seeing the results and rich feature set, three of my friends have already bought one for themselves. I don't go shopping much without doing my homework.
