I used this to connect a Dell Latitude 7280 to the D6000 Universal USB Dock Cable. The 90 degree adapter eliminates the need to bend the docking station cable in a tight radius to avoid objects falling on the table next to the laptop. When the adapter is installed, access to the laptop's power connector is blocked, but that's not a problem as the docking station powers the laptop through the USB cable. Currently, the adapter transfers data for 3 monitors, multiple USB peripherals, and a wired network connection between the dock and laptop with no noticeable performance loss compared to connecting the dock cable directly to the laptop without an adapter.
