I wanted my daughter to buy little swim shorts/pants to put on her bathing suit for modesty and to keep sand out of her suit! I've looked at all the different little swim shorts but thought something that looked like a mermaid would be cuter. They're the same material as swimwear (minus the SPF) so I decided to give them a try. She wore them with the bottoms of a regular swimsuit (to keep the inseams from chafing) and they worked great! She loved the mermaid pants and they were so adorable! It was also MUCH easier for her to run and play than in those mermaid skirts that come with swimsuits. We used them for about two years because I bought them a little too big. They've held up great, the stitching didn't unravel or anything and I've just ordered a new, larger pair in a new pink colorway (she's going to love it!). I can absolutely recommend them!
