Our 7 year old loves this headset. We've had to replace the 1st set soon after purchasing, there was a problem with the plug. Painless with Revain's returns! How good is this headset? I couldn't tell you how an adult would consider the sound but for kids it's perfect! You do need to plug in the usb plug to have the set light up. The headphones work fine without the lights as well. They are on the large side but our son doesn't mind.
