I've tried all types of headphones. From cheap skull lollipops at Walmart to Bose and Dr. Dre headphones. I've done my research. I polled dozens of audiophiles, read tons of threads, reviews, rating lists, etc, and finally settled on the M2. I couldn't be happier. The M2 is the best value for money and has become my go-to pair of headphones. As a college student, they saw a lot of use and abuse. Average of 12 hours of use per day for about a year. Braided line is very thick and stiff and will retain most of its shape. So it's very durable but not comfortable. Contrary to other reviews, I found a pair of medium-sized rubber earbuds that fit perfectly. Of course it depends on the person, but I've used the M2s for mountain biking, jogging, drumming, playing guitar, video games and they've never fallen out. Not once. I can wear them for hours and forget I had them. As for the sound, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I listen to all kinds of genres. From Classical to Progressive Metal, they all sound AWESOME. I've been to stores trying other in-ears and headphones that cost several times more than the M2, but I keep coming back to the M2's warm, punchy and clear sound. Remember, these aren't bass monsters. The bass is definitely powerful, but not overwhelming. For example, I tried bass enthusiast headphones and you can feel the bass hitting your eardrums. This is not the case with M2. You can feel the bass remotely, like you're in the middle of a concert, but not like you're head glued to a speakerphone like the bass-heavy headphones I've tried. The highs are crisp enough that I can hear individual cymbals, the singer's breath, every movement of the guitar across the string, etc. The mids are the clearest on these headphones. It suits me perfectly and I prefer it because I mostly listen to rock. I recommend these headphones to any smart buyer who wants a very durable and high quality pair of headphones. If you're serious about your music, don't stop at Walmart headphones and don't envy the mediocre Dr. Dre worth over $100 with beautiful flowers. I can safely say that these headphones opened up a whole new world of music for me. I'm addicted to music now. I have a Spotify Premium subscription and when I download an album I try to find the highest quality format because I know these headphones can provide an overwhelming listening experience. I'll be ordering a second pair soon and keeping them to myself. I could easily afford more expensive kits, but I'm in love with their sound.
