Do Not Purchase - Will Kill Hamsters

This cage is very cute. It was a bit difficult to put together. When cleaning it, the tips tend to come off which means you have to put it together again. Dwarf hamsters can get through the parts that hook together so you will need to do tie. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. My son's gangsters were in a glass cage and doing great. They had babies so we bought this cage for the parents once the babies were ready to separate. Within weeks, they died. They were very, very healthy but just died. We didn't think anything of it at first bc sometimes things like this happen. We got him another hamster and that one died. This happened a third time but this time we monitored the hamster and when he started showing signs of being sick, we moved him into the glass tank. Within days he was doing great and healthy again. There's something with this cage, maybe chemicals in it? That are not good for your hamsters.

Pros
  • The multileveled home provides a more dynamic environment that can prevent your hamster from becoming agitated
Cons
  • The home may be too eye-catching for cats or other pets who may attempt to interact with the hamster through the plastic tunnels
