The video is pretty decent. The microphone makes you sound like you're in a tin can. There is no usage indicator to let you know the camera is on. The camera is huge, the lid is heavy and often wants to tip over onto the monitor. The monitor mount has no rubber bumpers to prevent falling. For $20 and as a backup camera for a computer I rarely use, it's great - I wouldn't pay $40 for one - with the caveat that you turn it off when not in use. However, I would use the Logitech C920 as the main camera suitable for everyday use.
