We mainly use it for pizza dough balls, but I've also fermented them in bulk and had much better results in these containers than in a mixing bowl. The lids don't snap, but are secure enough that nothing dries out. There is only one lid between the two boxes, which is fine, but I wish there was a second lid. I need it? I don't think exactly because they are designed to be stacked, so the other box is the lid for the other. They also held up well in the fermentation box in the oven. The scraper turned out to be a surprisingly powerful tool made of thick plastic. I was expecting a weaker cast, so that was cool. I usually use my metal utility knife but it's better to have a plastic knife because I'm wary of scratching these containers because I don't think they'll last long if they get scratched. I suggest dusting or flouring the surfaces lightly, otherwise the dough will be a little sticky, but still doable with a spatula. Also a bonus, the perfect size/height for storing/transporting cupcakes.
