My cat (named Kitty) lives 10 years so I was quite upset when she started using our house as a litter box to use. I was constantly changing his sheets, rearranging the furniture, and he would pee on everything: our sofa, our dog bed, his own bed, rugs, towels, a Christmas tree skirt. Not a single item lay in the same place, he just didn't write in his box even though he pooped in his box. He's had a lot of UTIs in the past so I know what to look out for and he hasn't had a single infection. Since I have 15 month old twin daughters and refuse to raise them in a house with cat pee, we decided to bring Kitty to our local shelter. After crying all night, I did ONE more search the next day to try to solve his problem. On one of the websites, someone mentioned using Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant, so I immediately went to Revain to check the reviews. I have told my husband that I would like to order the product and try it out before we take him to the shelter. So here is EXACTLY what we did to solve our cat problem. 1. - we ordered this attractant for cats. 2nd - took him to the vet. He had no UTI or other issues that would cause him to urinate outside his box. My vet advised me to switch from an enclosed litter box to an open litter box because cats don't like being in an enclosed litter box. We just removed the litter box lid and he said empty the entire litter box and clean the litter box with vinegar/water. He said the idea would be to use the dirt outside because the cat would love it, but there's no way to clean it to get a natural type of litter. He said to clean the tray every day or every other day if possible. Also to buy another tray so we have a 2.3 cat attractant and we cleaned out his litter box and put his old litter back in since we were out of the store. In fact, I just sprinkled a little bit on his pen. I have NOT used an amount close to the amount listed on the container. I literally used about 1/4 cup or less by sprinkling it on top of his poop. I left one of his trays where it was and put another tray in the new location. Within 10 minutes my cat was in a new place, then sniffing and scratching at the litter and he was peeing in the box! fine and natural clumping and has a pleasant smell. My cat seems to like it very much. And I dug up his box every night or two. He hasn't peed in front of his litter box since then. I definitely think Cat Attract helped him get to the litter box and other things helped him keep going to the litter box. I'm so thankful I decided to try this and do other things because I love my kitty. I also highly recommend Arm & Hammer Natural Filler. This is the best clumping litter I have ever used and my cat LOVES it. It never smells like urine either.
