About a year ago I ordered several of these timers to replace several others scattered around the house. Most others had LCD screens that quickly faded and touchpads that worked quickly. I had low expectations for digital timers, but they're much more reliable than others I've tried, have good magnets for attaching to metal devices (often where I use them), and have solid physical buttons. In fact, I found I needed a few more timers, so I ordered a few more. They run on a single AAA battery, and although I often leave them on to avoid resetting the time every time I want to use them, they last a long time (e.g. several months) on a single battery. You can turn them off between uses, but doing so will reset the countdown time to zero. I find these to be very good products, more reliable than similar more expensive timers and good value for money.
