I had read in other reviews that this hose replacement had issues but decided to take a chance. The new replacement looks the same as the old one and went through with no problems. However, as soon as I snapped the top end onto the vacuum cleaner, the red and gray clips popped out, as well as the little spring that makes them work. Not a good sign! Easy enough to put back together. I did this to ensure their connections were secure. "Big!" I thought. Not correct! They reappeared and the source was nowhere to be found. I then removed the same parts from the original hose/handle set (much tighter and not very easy to remove) and slipped them onto the new hose/handle. Voila! They seem very secure and everything works fine. If they come off and I can find all the pieces, I'll glue the gray piece to the handle.
