Review on 🎧 CoolStream CarPro Bluetooth Adapter - Upgrading Your 2005-2011 Mercedes' Factory 30 Pin iPod Media Cable to Stream Music Wirelessly by Charles Osguthorpe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits 2011 Mercedes c300 iPod integration

Fits my 2011 Mercedes c300. My Benz has an iPod integration kit built in. The cable is 30 pin, not a media interface connector like in some other cars. Either way, it works. It is powered by an iPod connection cable. The sound is clear, the signal is stable. Spotify streams with no problems. This is a much better solution than using an additional port. The auxiliary connection generates noise (ground loop) that can be eliminated with a ground loop isolator. However, this can affect the sound quality in the lower Hz range. Also the preset volume on Aux is too low. You can fix this somewhat by changing the audio from standard to amplified, but you still need to be at 80% volume to get normal volume. I want to say that this little device is fixed and has many advantages over aux. The sound is clearer, the volume is normal, and it doesn't require a mess like a cigarette lighter to power the Bluetooth module for an auxiliary device. The iPod cable is electricity. I'm not sure how exactly the technology works in this device, but it seems that the iPod integration makes the iPod want to connect when it isn't. It's perfect because it works. Just download Spotify or Apple Music and start streaming. Next time you return to your car, it will remember your device. Reconnection is not required. Simply a good reliable device worth every penny. The only thing I could say that could be improved is adding aptx support for lossless. I think this uses bt3.0, which is fast enough (20Mbps) for Spotify Premium streaming with no issues, but at $60-$70 we're expecting the latest bells and whistles. Overall 5/5 because it works very well. Also developed here in the USA.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
