first. Bob's picture is NOT on this painting knife as shown in the picture. 2. It is NOT made in America, it is made in China and if you think like me then it must be fake. The Bob Ross Inc. website is now shipping an identical knife from China with no picture of Bob. Because they charge $16 for a knife that costs anywhere from $3.29 to $3.99. Differences? a. not bob, b, not white, c. This is the best quality blade. It really annoys me what Bob Ink did to make things cheaper and save a penny per unit. This knife has been deformed out of the box, leaving double or more grooves on the paint surface, so it cannot be used outside the box. Maybe, sanding with very fine sandpaper COULD fix it, but I can't do that if I bring it back. Result. Made in America means something special. I hope that when they lose enough income due to cheap products, they will return to quality. This blade is thin and will deform even more after 1 try. I'll update this if they get it right and replace it with a bean knife image as it originally should have been. and of course whether the replacement is actually usable. Unfortunately, I see that the Nu 10 knife will likely have the same issues. So what about Bob Ross colors? I'm now reluctant to spend close to $300 on paints that are probably cheaply made in China too? I hope that when they lose enough income due to cheap products, they will return to quality.
