I am an avid knitter and have 2 different sets of needles with different gauge cords. I mostly knit in the round. I use straight needles for tighter projects from time to time and don't need string to hold all the stitches. I have several sizes but I came across a project that required a size that I didn't have on straight needles, I had the corded version but wanted to use straight needles. I was looking for this set and found it. They are amazing, very sharp (beginners beware) which is good for picking up stitches. I love the color and quality of these needles and the sizes are perfect for all knitting projects; glad i made the purchase.
