We were happy because of the colorful superheroes. My 5 year old loved looking at the different designs and immediately put on the Hulk mask and ran. Within minutes he wanted to take it off because it was hot. I understand what he's talking about. Material - very dense dense cotton. I held the mask over my mouth and nose and breathing wasn't very comfortable even compared to our N95 masks. We were disappointed that they weren't what we expected. They remind me of the velvet material on a pool table and represent an attempt to breathe through multiple layers. This is not a cotton t-shirt like material. The materials are very soft, the stitching is very nice, the colors are bright and the size fits him perfectly. However, I do not send him to school with these masks where he has to wear them for hours.
