Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Effortless Mold Making Kit: Marvelous Liquid Silicone Rubber (8lbs) by Doris Tran

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It flows like a faucet but the cured molds are intact

Unfortunately it leaks a bit. It is very fluid, which is great for encapsulating parts in castings. However, if you don't have a waterproof seal, the silicone will leak out from under your case. It can also seep under your templates and make them float while curing, meaning you don't have to waste time, money, or silicone. If you're using acrylic blanks with the shells attached you should be fine, although I've had silicone leaks between the seams of the acrylic layers. Waiting an hour for it to thicken before watering doesn't help either - it'll still flow. LAUGH OUT LOUD. If you can get over that, it's just like any other silicone. Nothing special. I mainly make molds out of resin and loved this silicone, but I realized that Moldstar is cheaper per gallon and depending on which Moldstar kit you get you can work a lot faster. If you're only filling a small number of molds, the smaller 4-pound Unicone kit is a better bang for your buck. Just make sure you shuffle and seal your boxes well!
