So far so good. My cat has developed allergies and scratches some parts of his face. The vet and I have done all sorts of tests including a food sample, blood allergy test, regular blood test (to rule out diseases like diabetes), we've ruled out fleas, we can't find the cause. I try to eat a limited ingredient diet and make sure my boy gets plenty of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids (which promote healthy skin and coat). These preserves offer both. He likes the taste (I'll admit he's not picky about food). I find it a bit thick, the first time I gave it to him he left some in the bowl which is very odd for him (he usually devours his own and then moves on to his brother's bowl). So I diluted it a bit with water and that seemed to work and he started eating (and stealing from his brother) again. It's still itchy a little, but I'm seeing improvement. We restrain extreme scratches and that's the best we can do at the moment. Also check out Nature's Variety's Instinct Limited Ingredient Diet Recipe Natural Wet Canned Food Cat. They also have duck flavor (and rabbit which I can try). What I like about Instinct and not Blue is that Blue contains fish oil and Instinct does not. If you keep your cat away from fish (like me), Instinct seems like the best choice. They also have 5.5 ounce cans, which is my favorite. I also use limited ingredient DRY cat food that contains omega 3 and 6 fatty acids (Blue Basics, Natural Balance and Blue Wilderness are three good options I think - update, have a look) in the Instinct Limited Ingredient Diet Grain Free Recipe Natural Dry Cat Food" from Nature's Variety which contains no fish/salmon oil).
