It's really worth it!
Dealing with a lot of sibilance on some records with my Numark CC-1. Installed, balanced and counterbalanced (3 mins max) and instantly some records I was having trouble with sounded perfect. The S-shaped distortion just disappeared. The recordings are quieter between tracks. I don't hear any internal groove distortion either. This thing tracks everything. I have spent hours researching microlinear styli and am amazed that they make such a difference. From what I've read this is the lowest price you can pay including a bowl. This fits perfectly on my PLX-1000.
