I live in an old building, there is a switch in the basement and a fuse box in the apartment. The fuses usually blow and I can replace them, but when the switch flips I don't have access to the box. The rental agency charges us for flipping the breaker, so I figured this would be a great fail-safe option for harsh environments like heat and air. It's working great so far but I need another one for the kitchen because in the long run this handy mod plugin will pay off!
