Straight ahead: Not for cold gear. The shirt is very thin and contains no fleece or other materials to make it suitable for cold gear. As you can see in the first picture you can see through it very, very easily (see ceiling light)! The second photo is of a different brand (known) and you can see you can't see through it, making it thick and suitable for cold weather. The only good thing is that the material of the turtleneck is thick considering that the double layer (the fabric is folded and sewn at the bottom) is thick. It is long and seems to reach the chin and can cover the nose and possibly the ears if necessary. I am not returning this item because I can wear it over my real gold shirt and have a long neck if needed. . For the price, it's worth keeping only when I need it, otherwise if you're looking for good gear for the cold, buy from a reputable brand that invests in technology to keep the body really warm. It's worth it in the long run.
