I have worn New Balance Fresh Foam 1080's for many years until recent changes made them very painful for the peaks of my performance. I need shoes for my custom insoles and have recommended Brooks Dyad on the website for this purpose. Turns out NB did me a favor as the Brooks Dyad is the best shoe I've ever had. However, it took me a while to figure it out as shoes only become so comfortable and a little stiff immediately after breaking in. However, I have found that it supports my feet better and also lasts much longer before needing replacement. I hope Brooks keeps them the way they are.
