Petfect Cat scratching tape is exactly what you need. Of course you can stick it on furniture, but also on doors, floors, windows, mirrors, fridge, ... everything. Basically, it's double-sided tape. Unlike other products like this, it's thick enough to take some cat scratches. However, don't expect it to be a pet claw barrier (if you're looking for this product, check out other Petfect polycarbonate guards). The scratch is sticky and ER keeps my cat from scratching the leather sofa. She just lost interest in it and I'm very glad.
