After reading some reviews on the subject I decided to order it anyway and give it a try despite there being complaints that it was hard on feet, slippery and not would adhere to the bathroom surface. I think it would be very helpful if the people writing these reviews included information about what shower or bath they plan to use, for example. I bought this for a fiberglass shower enclosure which is quite square with a slightly textured finish. I won't lie, it was bought so I can clean it regularly instead of scrubbing the floor in the Ajax shower every month. My plan is to take it off, take it outside and clean it instead of rubbing my hands and knees. First off, no, the little suction cups do NOT stick to my textured shower floor, but I wasn't expecting that either. The texture is rough enough that this mat doesn't move at all no matter what the little suction cups try to do. Second, no, it's not hard on the feet. Its texture is slightly pebbly, but neither my wife nor I had any problems with foot pain. Third, it's not slippery even when covered in my wife's shampoo and it doesn't move or get in the way. Fourth, yes I will buy another one for the downstairs shower stall.
