Pleasantly Surprised

Took a chance, ready to throw away because I couldn't get them to work, but they work well. In the package there is an indication of the need to download the driver for the CH340 chip. I'm developing on a Mac, so the driver had to be installed on the Mac, it was easy. Next, when it's time to compile the sketch and send it to the Nano, go to Tools in the Arduino IDE (on the Mac in my case) and set the following: Board: Arduino NanoProcessor Old BootLoader ( This is because my version of Arduino IDE on Mac is higher than 1.8.5 (notes in vendor package). Port: dev/cu.wchusbserial14120 Also this is for my iMac. The code is not sent to the board. Disconnecting the board from the Mac and reconnecting it SOMETIMES seems to solve this problem. Sometimes not. It has no rhyme or reason. I've tried what everyone has suggested, including writing Uno's bootloader, but there are times when you can't upload the sketch. He's acting like a frustrated two-year-old who needs a nap. If I wait long enough it will work again. I tried it on a windows machine and it doesn't matter. After all, I probably wouldn't use it for development because it's so small. It makes sense to me to develop a bigger Uno and then port everything to it. I think I messed up one of these boards by trying to solder the leads to the pins. After that it stopped working and I suspect I'm overheating. As for a permanent solution using one of these, my plan is to use a jumper wire to connect the nano pins with a female connector on the end. side side. How will I keep it there? Most likely a drop of epoxy. No more soldering so close to the board. Overall pleasantly surprised.
