The lamp was supplied in retail packaging protected only by typical cardboard tabs. I expect it to be shipped in a Revain box or at least a padded envelope. I took the flashlight out of the box, plugged it into an outlet and turned on the switch. No light. Tried with a battery that showed a full charge, no light. So the light was off upon arrival. I chose Supon over seemingly identical lights because it came with a battery and power adapter but is useless when the light is off. I note that the battery charges via its own mini-USB port and has an LED charge indicator, eliminating the need for an external charger. I returned the flashlight for a refund as I didn't want to risk additional hassle with a defective flashlight.
