Runs small. Be sure to order one size up (or 2 if your child is a husky). My 8 year old son wears size 12/14; I ordered 18 for him to grow into and it barely fit. It's also quite thin and not a sweater for warmth. Almost an "autumn" sweater. The style and color are excellent. Order a size up and have tank tops ready if your child is going to wear them on a cold day.
