Bought because it was advertised as compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is not entirely correct. First, it doesn't charge this phone at all in an upright position. Second, charging in a vertical position is unstable even when the case is off, due to the need for precise alignment. This negates the convenience of wireless charging. So can you charge your iPhone 12 Pro Max in a case? Technically yes, but in certain orientations: upside down and horizontally. Horizontal loading was a challenge, especially in the dark, and obscured the button to turn off the loading indicator at the base. Also, when the phone wasn't charging, the base station would emit a high-pitched, pulsing hum. sound, which is an indication of cheap capacitors. Overall, I'm giving 1 star for two reasons: The product doesn't fully support wireless charging for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, especially in the most convenient/intuitive orientation. Second, the buzzing kept me awake while it was on the bedside table.
