Overkill for some, but when you're traveling with an iPad Pro in a bag full of books, you need two layers of protection! The case is thin, not very soft, but strong enough to provide some protection from small drops and pressure on the device. The magnetic closure holds securely. The stitching on the outer edges of the case absorbs shock well in the event of a fall. The material is not leather, so durability is still questionable. I use this case with the Procase Slim Case/Folio and the iPad Pro fits snugly, the flap closes and covers the Apple Pencil for even more protection. Overall happy with this purchase!
